Movie review- The Gift

This time I would like to introduce a movie called The Gift. The movie genre is thriller. The film was directed by Joel Edgerton. He works as a film director and actor. He also directed Boy Erased in 2018. He has also appeared in several other films, including The Great Gatsby.

The main character of this movie is Simon played by Jason Bateman. He is an actor and has won several awards. It is Rebecca Hall who plays his wife Robin. It is director Joel Edgerton who plays his friend Gordon. 

I will briefly introduce the story. The main character, Simon and his wife, have moved to a new city. It seemed like they were buying a luxurious home and living a happy life with each other. One day, he happens to meet his friend Gordon when he was a student. After that, Gordon gave him wine to celebrate their move. Simon felt he wasn't very close to Gordon, but Gordon talked as if he were his best friend. Simon feels uncomfortable with this. After that, there were some suspicious behaviors such as carp being put in the garden pond as a "gift" from Gordon, and having him enter the house while Simon was away to help Robin. Simon, who felt it creepy, warned Gordon not to follow him. As a result, the carp is dead, the dog is gone, and there are signs of people in the house. There was a surprising reason for this action he took.

I think the scary part of this movie is that it feels like fear is close at hand. The sound is very quiet in the scene where you can feel the presence of people in the house, which makes me nervous. I was very scared because I was alone at home. It's not a horror thing like a ghost, but I feel like I've realized the fear of people again. Movie review- School of Rock

Hello every one! This time I would like to review a movie. The movie I will introduce is School of Rock . The movie genre is musical comedy. This movie was directed in 2003 by Richard Linklater. He also directed Before Sunrise (1995) and Boy Hood(2014). He has won two awards at the Berlin International Film Festival.

The main character is Jack Black, who plays Dewey Finn. He is an American actor and singer. He has won the Comedy Acting Award for this film. Mike White plays the main character's best friend Ned Schneebly.  He is actually a friend of Jack Black.  And he wrote the script for this movie for Jack Black.

One day, guitarist Dewey is fired from his band. Ned, a friend who lives with him, told him to pay the rent. At that time, a temporary teacher at a private school comes to Ned's house. Dewey who wants to work pretends to be his friend and goes to the school. The school had many rules and was very strict. He taught the children lessons and fake rock music. The kids were confused at first, but as they played the music, they were fascinated by Dewey's cheerful personality and rock music. And Dewey decided to take part in a band battle with children with musical talent.

Overall it's a fun movie, but the scene where the students hide behind other teachers and practice their music is very exciting. I thought it was amazing that they were actually playing an instrument. I was very impressed with the scene where the children and Dewey played in a band together. This movie is recommended for both music lovers and anyone who wants to start playing an instrument!
